Graphic Designer

Greg graduated from the University of Toledo (when it was known as TU!) with a marketing major. His first job worth mentioning was as production manager in the advertising department of the former Lasalle’s/Macy’s retail store in downtown Toledo. When the ad department operations was taken over by Macy’s Kansas City in 1984, he was hired by Norb Metzger as a typesetter at Type House, where over time and company name changes he moved into scanning/prepress and then graphic design. From 1968 to 1985, he edited/self-published the fanzine Japanese Fantasy Film Journal. It had a small circulation and lasted only 15 issues, but the magazine has received praise for introducing a serious analysis of Japanese fantasy, horror and science fiction films to US readers/fans. He has been adopting former racing greyhounds for over 14 years and currently is owned by 4 of them.

Graphic Designer

Been in the business for almost 20 years originally starting at Metzgers back in 1994 and have now made it full circle joining the Metzgers team again this year. Since then I have gained a lot of experience in agencies and in-house marketing departments. Have experience dealing with lots of “big box” companies as well as small local ones. Graduated from BGSU with a degree in fine arts, concentration in Graphic Design.

My goal is to be the favorite aunt to my 3 nieces – two which are twins! Also love spending time on the lake with family and friends and all that goes with it – boating, drinking, campfires, lounging, reading and water sports.

Name one thing not many people know about you.

If I told you, I would have to kill you.

Would you rather skydive or swim with sharks?

Graphic Designer

Tim brings over 19 years of graphic design experience to Metzgers. He provides creative direction, design & marketing strategies for many local and national clients.

"I like to solve problems – making the complicated simple, the simple exciting and the exciting effective – to me, that's creativity."

Tim has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design, Bowling Green State University.

Tim is musically inclined, and if he had a "musician's resume", it may include the following: Drummer, DJ (music and karaoke), vocalist, crappy "aspiring" rhythm guitarist, songwriter / producer**, Guitar Hero, DJ Hero & avid Rockbander.

Tim also has an unhealthy obsession with baseball. He participates in and manages a few fantasy leagues as well as having a large collection of ball caps. He gets excited about new technology but tries to avoid the stereotypical conventions.

He is married to Jennifer Schwinn and has a 4-legged toddler Welsh Terrier named Frankie.

Do you have any hidden talents?

Closet Karaoke Junkie. Sang in front of a live band at the House of Blues in Las Vegas on my wedding night. Impressed the local Bon Jovi cover band with my rendition of “Dead or Alive”.

What is your favorite holiday and why?

Turkey Day! Nothing says Holliday like a specific pair of pants that you wear while you perform one of life’s 7-deadly sins all day: Gluttony.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Sigh. I missed my calling as a professional baseball player. I blame my parents. They didn’t tie my right hand behind my back while growing up.

So I’ve since moved on to my back-up plan. I’ve always been creative, and as long as I’m doing something that can showcase that talent, I’m happy.

If you had three wishes granted by a genie, what would you wish for?

  1. That people can someday learn how to cope with this much "awesome".
  2. A never-ending cup of Starbucks French Roast.
  3. The patience to wait for everything else I want.
