Printing Checklist
  1. Have you saved your file in the correct format; is the file type correct?
  2. Is your image resolution set to 300 dots per inch?
  3. Is your desired finished product ultimate size specified on your file?
  4. Does your printing project have bleeds and do you have those included in your design file?
  5. Have you used and recorded unique filenames?
  6. Have you set all 4 color images to CMYK mode? (RGB and index mode should not be used)?
  7. Did you Include Pantone numbers if you are using spot color?
  8. Have you indicated where spot color is to be printed?
  9. Have you converted your fonts to outlines or included them in your art file?
  10. Have you included the following information with your file/order:
    1. Client name
    2. Project title
    3. Project description
    4. Date submitted
    5. Target date needed by
    6. Both the trim and folded sizes
  11. Have you specified the following with your Paper selection:
    1. Brand name if any preferred
    2. Color
    3. Finish
    4. Weight
  12. Will you be using varnishes or in-line aqueous coating (spot or overall) for front and back
  13. Have you specified the converting required for your project after printing:
    1. Trim / Cutting
    2. Fold (type of fold)
    3. Die cut
    4. Score/Perf
    5. Collate
    6. Number
    7. Drill (number of holes and hole diameters)
    8. Stitch
    9. Binding
    10. Shrink-wrap
  14. Have you specified additional finishing for your project?
    1. Embossing
    2. Foil stamping
    3. UV coating
    4. Laminating
  15. Did you specify packaging requirements for your order?
  16. Did you specify and confirm delivery instructions for your order?
  17. Do you understand our terms (pricing, conditions, payment terms)?
  18. When you review your proof:
    1. Are all pages included in the proof?
    2. Are the pages in the proper order and the page numbers correct?
    3. Are all images/photos included and in proper placement?
    4. Measure the final trim size and check folds for accuracy.
    5. Are photos cropped correctly?
    6. Are all photos facing the proper direction?
    7. Do the photos and graphics have good contrast?
    8. Are all fonts correct?
    9. Are the margins and page alignment(s) correct?
    10. Do the bleeds extend beyond the trim marks?
