At the Core, a Family Company

1976

Type House is founded by Norb Metzger in downtown Toledo, Ohio, as a typesetting and darkroom services company

1985

Color copy center added

1988

Name changed to Metzgers Prepress

1991

First digital color printer installed

1993

Purchase of first two-color printing press

1995

Norb retires, sons Tom and Joe take over

1997

Metzgers moves to 15,000 sq. ft. facility in Holland, Ohio

1997

The first custom web storefront is released to improve the customer experience

1998

Metzgers adds mailing, as Point to Point Mailing opens

1999

The Mom Squad begins operations

2000

Metzgers acquires their first 28″ press to upgrade offset printing offerings

2001

Warehouse and fulfillment services launched

2004

Metzgers moves back to Toledo, into a 34,000 sq. ft. facility on Arco Drive

2006

Offset printing upgraded again with purchase of new 40″ press

2008

Metzgers outgrows facility and builds a 30,000 sq. ft. addition

2010

Promotional products are added to the portfolio of offerings

2011

Continued expansion leads to the purchase of an adjacent 53,000 sq. ft. building

2015

Metzgers purchases a 10-color LED-UV press

2018

A new promotional products showroom is unveiled

2020

Expanded online storefront capabilities

2023

Doubled embroidery capacity with upgraded machines and moved into renovated facility

2024

Addition of high-speed ink jet envelope printing equipment

Introduction of MetLink, an omnichannel marketing platform designed to enhance customer engagement and streamline marketing efforts across multiple channels
